I thought the opening titles with her riding her bike and waving at people around 'Cabot Cove' plus her old typewriter might speak deeply to the 'Trads' out there. Funny fellows that some of them are...
The big, fat, old, doctor (no offence) is maybe the Traddest character: Flat top buzz cut, hornrims, OCBDs, tweed sacks etc.

Dick Van Dyke in 'Diagnosis Murder' has his Trad-esq moments too..
