You mean J. Press used to have Ancient Madder robes like this?

Here's a glimpse of the glory days of Ancient Madder robes at J. Press. My understanding is that it was inherited from a late-great J. Press collector. Amazing colors. I have seen it up close and the colors and condition are spectacular:

I LOVE the fact that that was J. Press in 1970.
Only 36 years ago (Yes, 'ONLY').
Think about what else was going on in '70... and Press were still producing items like that?
This is why I love Press.
Am I right that 'misterman' has a vintage archive he draws on for inspiration?
Not just Press, but many other Ivy names from the past?
What I wouldn't give for the odd photo here & there from him!
