Great pics Moose, though I wonder what they say about you and how much time you have on your hands?????
As for your original point, those girls are all beautiful but I don't get that same shared agenda. They look like they date boys who used to thump guys like me. On that note, I think I'm actually a bit frightened of the women who pop up in the Brooks catalogues. They look like they maintain their youthful vigor through the blood of virgins.
A shame that this didn't develop further. The 'Life' image is particulary pleasing. We've had good input on Grace Kelly; sadly, little on Katherine Hepburn. I welcome this as giving the forum not only a shot in the arm but also a real touch of class.
Great pics Moose. Although I'm more inclined to the 'fallen' Ivy style of Edie Sedgwick. Preppy heiress gone bad. Those girls in the photos need a little boho bongo basement action to loosen their girdles. More Jean Seberg. Girls in stripey tops reading poetry do it for me every time.

I dunno mate, Pam was on QI the other week and she looked hot...
WE WANT MORE! MORE, MORE, MORE...
Love it!
But how has this look been kept classic, timeless & therefore current?
I suspect we now know an ivy girl who knows!
Ivy GIRLS? Could it be true? Holy mother of pearl!
Actually, the thing I love most about those pictures that Moose put up was the space one has to dream...how that inherent 'conservative' in the clothes hides a mountain of smouldering passion...I bet they're fun under those fur hats!
Does the phrase 'like the clappers' translate into American?
To you lot the phrase "Like flies round Sh#t" comes to mind
Surely all you who have wives and girlfriends should know by now it takes years of wearing a woman down and undermining her self-confidence so that in the end she'll wear what you want her to wear, and be grateful for it.
Bunch of amateurs!
Preppy fashions will have kept the style in people's consciousness and by their reiterations of the style helped established its classic status. Seven Sisters style is only my own name for it, looking beyond Preppy fashion to an underlying style which can be manifested in different ways by various designers.
Clean lines define the style and a freshness of presentation. The bob, now the hairstyle of the dominatrix, sums all of that up for me very well. It's a very put together look lacking any sloppy elements, it shows planning.
