Oxford Cloth Button Down

I'm looking for a RTW maker with a decent version.  My primary concern is the fit as it seems impossible to get a RTW shirt in the US that isn't big enough to use for a tent.  Something slimmer, but not ridiculous.  Any ideas?

Re: Oxford Cloth Button Down

For a nominal fee, a competent tailor can clean up the excess material on a RTW shirt.

Bump to raise the global awareness of Andover's shirts.

I have a rather nice one from Ike Behar of all people. Not too roomy in the body but still American in expression.

Why rtw? Paris makes a a version with a beautiful, old skool BB roll to the collar. Adam admires the original BB roll and executes it nicely. The shirt will outlast you so get 3 made at Paris! One white, one blue and one pink or peach.

Re: Oxford Cloth Button Down

Why not Paris?  Among other reasons, I live in Chicago, not New York, and doing bespoke remote is a bit painful.  But since you suggest it, what is the pricing on Paris shirts for a basic oxford cloth?  What's the minimum purchase quantity?  How many fittings are required?

Re: Oxford Cloth Button Down

Hello Arenn

The price for the basic oxford shirt is $235 and a 3 shirt minimum for the first order.
As far as fittings if you want the classic fit one fitting will do as we make all shirts in house.

Horace,

Fit aside, how did you like your Mercer shirt?

Was the fabric comfortable and not  too prone to wrinkling?

Were there any loose threads?

In terms of pricing, an Individualized NTM royal oxford from Bergdorf is $260. Brooks MTM for supima is $150. Adam's pricing doesn't seem too bad.

Thanks for the info on Paris pricing.  That's not too bad.  I may have to inquire if I'm going to be in NYC area.
