Button down + Tie = Wheel of Fortune style?

I have been observing the styles on Wheel of Fortune, and I notice many men, wearing BD and tie.

Perhaps this is the house style, or does the wheel create wind that could flap the collar?

Could someone here ask Vanna?

Just thinking about the Brooks Polo shirt story etc. -
How long would the points of your collar have to actually be to flap in your face?

Eight inches?

Am I way off here?

I think that roughly 8 inches would catch the end of my nose (If I didn't stoop so much).

Tie-flap is much more of a menace in my book.

Do they sport tie-clips on WOF?
That might be the give-away...

Thoughts?
