Man about London town's very own clued-in blog : http://garmsville.blogspot.com/
A certain type of London perspective on things. An Ivy enthusiast, Jules can often be spotted sockless around the city's streets.
GG
Count me in.
'French Ivy' had me wondering. This doesn't. More power to his elbow.
The Simons section is well worthwhile - there's that old Kangol sign in the window John picked up at a car boot sale, and the 'Ivy' slack is very desirable indeed. I also enjoyed the discussion on Walter Matthau-style - something I suspect a lot of us go in for when we're just farting about the house PMing Gibson Gardens or eating salt beef and horseradish: sloppy khakis, slouchy cardigan. Woody Allen sometimes takes it out of doors looking more like a lecherous psychopath than Isaac Davies... (I don't mean, James, that he takes it up the... oh, never mind)...
Otherwise a fair degree of trendy bullshit.
GG, thanks for the link. I really liked his discussion of Eno's oblique strategies. I will explore in more depth.
dig him. he's pretty cool.
not sure about tassled loafers...maybe i'm just too young for them.
D&F ....if you go for tassels my opinion is forget the kiltie's and go for the plain tassel as in your middle pic.......Boyer is a fan, if that sort of thing has any sway with you, which i doubt!
Forget Eno's oblique startegies and just keep it simple a la Diceman style.....or maybe you could combine the two, now thats got me thinking, hang on I'm just gonna grab me dice and some cardboard, scissors and a felt pen........

Tasselled basketweaves were everywhere when I was 12/13; also tasselled plain and a bit chunky, which is what my old dear agreed I could wear for school (after dressing me up in my last year of junior school in vivid orange shirts with purple strides and elastic-sided boots!). Now they were naff!! Don't you find loafers a bit uncomfortable with argyles, though? I have to wear very smooth, plain Falke with pennies, nothing at all with beef roll.
... Those who know do say that this post "inspired" Mr. Chensvold:

Mr. Palmer appeared here as a part of OTP & Staceyboy's "Off-duty Golfer" Look a while back too...
And so here for The Big C. is a little theme tune for him to help celebrate his new life as a born-again Ivy fan:

Better than ACL because G. is a real enthusiast. ACL's blog is just a shopwindow to promote Micky Williams & his cronies. Bit like that Chensvold...
Speaking of whom...
This has been suggested for his new theme:

Always dressing up as something he's not. First a "Dandy" & now an Ivy fan...
