Madras pants - tasteful and subdued, not GTH - fresh from O'Connell's.
Cheap dirty bucks from JC Penney.
Short-sleeve blue Bean buttondown
straw hat

Hot and muggy. We'll get two weeks of this and then it's done.

I like argyles as well, but most of my socks are simply black or grey... you don't have to think about it...

So black is not the "Trad" choice for as casual a shoe as the Loafer! I always learn...

I like black loafers. Mix it up, already. As limbs go, the black loafer is a pretty sturdy one to crawl out on.

Re: Ivy League style for today

We do seem to have this 'meeting of minds' thing going on, don't we?  I don't know about you but I've never played the game in my life.  A good walk spoiled.  My brother-in-law plays: working class yob who's made money in the oil industry.  Another brother-in-law doesn't, but most members of his family seem to.  I have to attend a party with these people later on today.  Not really looking forward to it.  Saturday night is movie night:  DVD or video.  John Ford classics at the moment.
