You can say why too, if you like.
But you don't have to.
That's what freedom means!

As the great Graham Marsh once noted, the great thing about the Weejun is that you can just slip them on with your hands in your pockets...
... And I guess kick them off at the end of the day in the same manner too.
Effortless style!

Hybrid trainer/Dress Sneaker, preferably w/a leather sole, but that isn't crucial......
Pair of clapped-out penny loafers.

Saddle oxford--American, collegiate, nerdy, classic...and slightly kinky?
I have three or four pairs...let's see:
cordovan body/black saddle, solid leather, Johnston & Murphy
cream body/medium brown saddle, suede, Hush Puppies
"English tan" body and saddle, solid leather, Polo
dark cordovan body and saddle, solid leather, Florsheim (vintage)
I think they all look great. I'm not a shoo maven, so I can't speak to quality of construction, but I've worn them all a lot and they're holding up fine.
They work very well with jeans, cords, and tweeds, which are what I wear all the time. The Hush Puppies are very nice, soft as glove leather with lovely broguing (is that what I mean?) on the saddle trim. Probably the best looking pair in the bunch.
I aim to get the classic suede medium brown body/solid leather dark brown saddle at some point. Don't know why I didn't get that one first, it's a pretty perfect shoe. I think Bass makes a good one.
Obviously there are more upscale options, but the above are at the price I can afford, and I have no complaints.
I am a chelsea boot. Lifestyle and stylewise.

Hung like a horse...bit.
Brown suede brogues--traditional, smooth, soft as a Nigerian beauty queen's brown bottom.
I'm a bit loafer.
Once bitten, twice shy.
Black calf oxford lace up cap toe.
