For a short time, Moo thought he was reaching Prince Charles' sartorial levels. he has now learnt that it doesn't come that easily. moo can get a coo but he must dump the `junk thinking'.

And he is indeed 100% correct on all counts.

Let's hope that he can educate them on further points of Trad-dom too, for if he's as sane as that on the subject of the Norwegian then I'd love to hear even more sanity from him on the whole spectrum of classic American style.

He's my Trad of the week!

An explaination of why handmade shoos are better:
http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99507

l only had the chance to read the first post but it was a good one. l loved how he talked about `feathers' and said that glued linen/canvass feathers will never be as secure as hand carved ones. He is not the only cordwainer i've read this from. l don't think it would be too hard to test this scientifically.

A nice heart warming post: a picture essay of a S.F member's grandfather's highend style. The grandfather looks great! Hickey Freeman and Hermes' from years ago.

Fritzl is on the money here:
http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.php?p=2729646&postcount=12

lt doesn't matter how well a machine made shoo is stitched, it is only as strong as it's weakest area, in this case it's the glue that attaches the feather. A shoemaker has been making some great posts about this issue lately and i'm buying into much of what he is saying, l love his attitude. l'll talk more about his posts soon.
