Re: Quality of Crepes

Navy sounds versatile enough. What wouldn't you wear them with, then?

Lots of mileage out of 'don't step omma blue suede' jokes too.

I love mine. You don't think you're getting a lot for your money at first, but the boots will prove you wrong.

Re: Quality of Crepes

Well considering how often I wear dark jeans, they might not be as versatile for me. I tried it and they looked like footie pajamas. Maybe if I cuff 'em it would help.

I've cracked a bunch of those jokes already, don't worry.

^turn-ups (cuffs) on jeans always look god with dessies imo, presuming the jeans aren't super wide.

Advice required please; I like them from what I can see, but with just 1 photo it's hard to tell if they'll look right on.  And is the left shoe lower than the right shoe?

some sort of banal legitimacy

Re: Quality of Crepes

Quite economical with their descriptions aren't they?

A very casual boot, with that moc toe. Nice enough, but...

For what's going to be roughly 140 quid shipped, I'd be inclined to look elsewhere.

Re: Quality of Crepes

It's great to see that you guys have great taste in footware and this is a great discussion forum.

I have Georgie Cox's chukka boots and GBX Playboys, but would like to expand my collection - in particular Eaton Clubman (which I wore back in late 70s).

I Would appreciate it if you could please post any links to any dealers.

Many thanks :-)

Re: Quality of Crepes

Eaton Clubman brand is long defunct - a friend of mine owns the rights to the name now but not yet done anything with it...

Re: Quality of Crepes

Thanks for the info TheWeejun.  I know lots of people in the rockin scene who would like to be able to get the Eaton Clubman chukkas...

1966 - if my feet were 1 size smaller I'd bite your hand off for those Eaton Clubmans.  Thanks for the offer.

Re: Quality of Crepes

Am off in a minute to take 1966's traded Eaton Clubman playboys back to their spiritual home near Northampton. Present for the current owner of the brand (along with Hutton name). Maybe he can be persuaded to do a limited edition.

Fingers crossed.
