^ The current season's sweats are heavier than the ones I got in summer.
If you're willing to pay more, I'd try Ebay... good luck.
^Whoa, those Japanese repros look amazing. I seriously appreciate the attention to quality and detail. However, I'm in high school and can't really afford to drop $100+ on a sweatshirt right now. Is there anything that still is grey, slim, classic, plain but also closer to the Uniqlo sweatshirt (9 GBP/15 USD) and available in the U.S.?
How about Hanes & Fruit of the Loom?

Why shouldn't the basics be basic?

And then there's Russell & Champion...
Russell and Champion don't cater for a slim fit on a 38 chest, though I'd like to be proven wrong.
It all depends on your build I guess. I'm a 38 short and was happy to spend a bit more on Japanese sweats so I wouldn't end up looking like a Girls Ball games mom.
^ LOL!
Just trying to make a point that Hanes & FOTL are as Ivy style as anything else. This style isn't always about 'The Best', it contains stuff to trash too.
It's a working wardrobe.
Maybe?
Haha... must agree. The Uniqlo's I mentioned are cheap pieces of crap, they even pill!
I take both good and bad quality, as long as the fit's right.

^ Goed werk A.
For me the "mid-century modern" cut on sweatshirts has been an aqcuired taste... I had to get used to their shortish body and arms, and the long cuffs - but now I wouldn't go back.
Been after a sweatshirt for a few weeks now. I came across this interesting site that sells some interesting clobber.

Don't know if it's of any use, but currently wearing a uniqlo grey sweatshirt. Cost about £15 and true not brilliant quality, but at my budget, and for the type of item of clothing, I think it's a solid piece.
I bought the grey, and it's been wearing quite well, although, I know some uniqlo stuff can vary.
Might be perfect for the chap above who is at high school looking for a grey sweat?
i used this thread as a reference and went for the ll bean tall M sweatshirt. a little baggier than i prefer but nice, a keeper. ptp 24 length 28 pre wash.
came across this site-- www.jiffyshirts.com . has sweatshirts by a lot of diff. manufacturers with measurement particulars . i'm intrigued by some of the colors in the authentic pigment line. anybody ever tried these?
on a side note to the guy looking for tall slim sweatshirt---last week i tried on a medium russell (made in mexico) at ross dress for less, i'm 6' and it was long enough and almost too slim.
