l'm convinced, the Vass with a single waist and double sole are unbalanced. The heel is too short (shorter than my single sole pair), looks unbalanced and feels unbalanced. l've worn my pair afew times but it's not getting any better. l'll be getting the heel built up, definately need another layer of leather.
l will never get a Vass HAF sole again. Big mistake.
Anyone feel the same?
No more close cut waist treatment either. Ruins a good Vass shoo. What are these i-gents thinking. Might look o.k on the English pairs, but not on `the vass'.
l didn't listen to Fritzl and l paid the price. The i-gents sunk me.

Shooman, thanks for the warning as I was considering the HAF sole on my next purchase of Vass through Gabor Halmos. Can you post a pic of your shoes..or a link to where you already have?
Is the shoe uncomfortable to wear...or are you just nitpicking on how it just didn't look right/balanced to you?

Am considering a monk strap budapester wing tip style with a budapester style last for my next purchase...but am unsure to do this with a single or double leather sole...would welcome anyones input
Why didn't you simply get a single sole?
Is Goyser stitching only appropriate on a double leather sole or can it be done on a single sould too?
