l drove 1 hour down to a warehouse that sells various shoos today. l saw some Church's that were very unusual. l saw one pair that was pretty gutless (fine thin ltalian-like leather uppers, thin welt and a thin sole); it looked flimsy like a blake stitched shoo but was actually goodyear welted with a chanelled sole....$1,300 (very pointy but English made). l also saw an ltalian pair of Church's loafers that were actually bologna constructed, i've never seen that before.

A real shock was a pair of Trickers loafers. lt is by far the best made Trickers i've ever seen. Amazing leather and a construction rivalling Edward Green and chanelled soles of course with great looking sole leather. My jaw dropped to the floor when l saw them, but alas $1070. Also lots of glued shoos going for nearly 1K.

The warehouse used to have great shoos at decent prices, but now it's turned into one big money machine. People are getting ripped off badly and prices have risen to stratmospheric levels now.
