If I didn't think it wasn't costume (save on Safari or say, doing informal consular duties in a remote outpost of the Empire) I'd really dig wearing the ol' Safari kit.
I knew a guy who used to get kitted out in Malaysia and sometimes HK from a tailor there. Great stuff. I don't remember the name for the type of tailor who the Brit's patronize abroad but it was some colloquialism to signal an overseas tailor in one of the (former) colonies.
Hemingway had special "specs" for his A&F safari shirt, I remember reading. A place to put his eye-glasses.
