Duke of Kent collar?

Can anyone enlighten me as to the history of the Duke of Kent spread collar. Any direction greatfully appreciated.
Thanks

Always thought that the DoK looked to the DoW but made his mind up to go further. Hence the low roll DB, wide spread collar and fat-ass tie knot.
But am I being spiteful once more?
(On these MBs it seems so long sice last we laughed...) sad

Pics I've seen of the DOK show a more moderate spread collar than the spreads I've seen worn by his brother, the DOW.

Re: Duke of Kent collar?

I dont think it's a specific collar, it's more of a collar style range. Shirt collars are going to always be different heights in back, sides and front and have a different space between points. So asking for a Duke of Kent collar is going to net you little. Requesting a modified spread in the English style will, while still not precise and always accurate get you further with a shirt maker.
