Dame Fortune smiled on me and I can splurge on a few new ties. For reference I buy from friend David Hober.
Please bear with my questions and slap me if I get igent.
I'd like a silver/grey. Candidates are a grenadine and Davids formal silver/grey/blacks. Are they SO formal I'd look like an idiot wearing one outside of weddings or receiving national honours. Is the solid satin silver tie
a style fad or use specific? Is it acceptable to make the grenadine pull double duty?
Ancient Madder appeals to me for sheer richness. I like paisleys, find few truly attractive and they are either loved or hated. I'd like to wear it besides dropping my oriental carpets off every 10 years for cleaning.
Wild card- David has expanded his choices so rapidly from those first thai silks I feel I'm overlooking some classics and sleepers.
Are there any the forum just fancies?
Grenadine on the grey. More bang for the buck.
David made me a paisley tie that's so nice I'm afraid to wear it.
I know the feeling. I have the rust and white on brown. I walk outside and lost pennies converge on me.
