Does such a tome exist? A go-to book with photos of various ivy styles up thru the mid-later 60s? Similar to some of the vintage images posted on AAAT in that one thread....but collected in a book?
This sounds like a job for Horace.
I have someone from Japan sending me some very promising stuff and looking for others. As far as I know, nothing. Thought I think Taschen would be great. There are some things which analyze in pictures the history of the suit, but I haven't seen them and don't know how much attention they devote to that period or how in depth they are in your interests.
I did post two or three threads that you might like Nat. Shouldered style in the 50's and 60's and one for the 30's and 40's. Also posted on the sack suit in 1901. And the precedent for a 2 button darted or at least fitted jacket back in early 60's. Darts in TNSIL clothing however, go back further than some would like. And throw the unified curriculum theory in doubt.
I wish I could see inside this book before ordering it....
Ivy Illustrated, there's also a woman's "Ivy Illustrated"

It's gotten great reviews from readers...from someone who has it, it's more novelty than factual, all cartoon illustrations, but supposedly very good.
Looks like great fun. I want one too!
The Richard Allen book isn't up to much. Surprise, surprise.
It's a look I love. if I was 16 I'd be one.
Not a book, but I like the links in this thread.
