Might I be the first to suggest that Godwin's Law will soon need to be invoked.
I've been on the net since the early 90s. In my experience there is no forum or matter too esoteric, obscure or trivial that does not appear to some USA citizen to be able to be enhanced by the raising of the issue of gun control. You name it -Cooking, clothes, audio, trivia quizes, philosophy, stamp collecting, religion........
In fact I'm pretty sure that gun control was central in the formation of Godwin's.
edit: I've no objection to discussion of guns and USA - in fact I'm sometimes a bit curious from time to time to participate. I'd be happier though if it was on its own thread.

Cap'n Fridge ratchets it up a notch with a new (monogrammed!) shirt from the Jermyn St. firm of Paul Frederick (did I say Jermyn St.? Sorry, I meant Rue de Lillian Vernon); then ratchets it down 4 notches admitting he's wearing underwear sold by K-Bosh (and at the same time resolving the little flap about Upr's bum that drew a mild and only slightly trembling response from the widow):

Ironically titled thread with K-Bosh declaring that a) Manton, FNB, and Vox are definitely NOT HIGH ROLLERS; and b) that Andy's is the only place he can sell his shirts, THE HIGHEST PRICED SHIRTS ON THE INTERNETS.

Since my banning I am forced to see the horrible pictures I could once block, such as the one of this Tucks-dependent bore wearing what looks like last prize at his golf club's rummage sale/charity auction. Why not just post pics wearing your new Snuggie, Uncle?

I'm going to start a company and like K-Bosh, I will use Andy's forum to propel me (and my heirs, and my progenitors though sadly I lack the requisite "long dead war hero Uncle who was a Harvard Graduate") into the ranks of the SuperRich: Heirlooms, Inc., Ltd. I will select objects such as an engraved glass, a cloth watch band, personalized shoe trees, worked leather shoulder holsters, etc., designate them "Heirlooms" and sell them with a Certificate of Authority Guaranteeing That This Item, one_________________, is an Heirloom. Prices begin at $375.00 with financing available and a 10% discount to Andivians.

My avatar? I enjoy a well constructed mystery and Foyle's War delved into many aspects history has chosen to forget. Actor Michael Giant vibrator is also a fly fisherman and enjoys Laphroiag. I have no desire to dress in 40s clothing, although there are some interesting nuances I took note of.
I think we have once more rolled the gun airship back into it's hanger. I do, for the record own but one piece after a lifetime of many; ironically a Birmingham made SMLE with a modest supply of military loads and 215 grain canadian 'moose and bear' loads I handrolled. One never knows when a moose in rut may appear in Los Angeles.
Finances and a true fatique with the 90% cretins who do possess firearms brought me to this point. The rifle is secreted in my 21st century version of an irish thatch roof. Future income will go to clothing.
Apparently our country has run out of military veterans--Bay area re-enactor loons pretend to be soldiers to add a little "authenticity" to Memorial Day ceremony. (Note Jr.'s sharp salute in his "incredible gift... a complete post-WWII Civil Air Patrol Cadet uniform." Re-enacting loon war hero Mom finds marching in step a bitch.):
