^ Most of the weavers will not be working anyway.

Primark prices is one reason why there is a need to move upmarket.

Will not hurt your used clothing trade though. Dunne & co was commonplace back in the day and aimed at the retired market. Dunne & co. is now prized because of what the likes of Haggas is offering.

Re: Harris Tweed latest

^ Looking on your site,

1. Even C&A & BHS used to offer a Harris tweed jacket.

2. Blouson style or long coats may be worth promoting. Blouson style Harris tweed in particular would not have old-fashioned connotations.

Haggas is a self-made Yorkshireman.

'Teaching' has nowt to do with it. Confidence and the school of hard knocks is probably more relevant.

20 hours a day! When I were a lad we had to walk over hot coals to get t'mill to do a 26 hour day for no'but a sniff of a potato and a glass of ditch water. That was just a Sunday mind, during the week....

The new Dr Who looks like a nerdy schoolkid in his Harris tweed jacket and bow tie. Exterminate! Exterminate!

Re: Harris Tweed latest

Cordings posted some new Harris tweed jackets a few weeks and then took them off within a few days. They were expensive, the usual Cordings price of £395. I was hoping that this was an indication that Cordings had commisioned its own high quality Harris tweeds from an independent weaver. I will make further inquiries.
