FNB's direct experience scaled my interest in fishback trousers. Feedback by others on tweed has me going with a safe, and probably most useful charcoal grey. I dislike leather patches and trim. I've come to recoil from most of the firearms culture anyway. I want this for a cold weather sportsjacket, a step above goretex in dayglo colours. A heavy lining is planned per advice. NO surgeon cuffs. I turned a breaching foal around once thankyou and ruined a MOP snap button western shirt. The working collar tab, action pleats and bellows pockets I want. I will probably stash a flask, sliced hard salami and cheese in one and a Peterson's field guide in the other. So, it's almost buttoned up. And that is my last angst filled , I am not a igent question. On a jacket such as this; anybody care if I go with standard plastic buttons or real horn? I do love horn on purely aesthetics. But the extra outlay could fill that flask with more Laphroiag while staring at pelicans and vultures.

Thankyou both. I have a Filson packer coat and Ventile cloth wind anorak. I don't think- I HOPE I'm not being an igent (puts fingers to jugular and finds pulse.) I'm just in the mood for something I can throw on with a tie on cold weekends attending outdoor events and a few restaurants that go beyond 'shirt and shoes required.'
In spite of the studied mediocrity in California dress there still remain a few places it makes a difference.
He looks uncomfortable. I bet he has fishback black plastic pants on.
Trad tortoiseshell glasses with a black suit?
I didn't invest with Bernie Made-off. I have lots to put in my pockets.
