Fuck off sammy, you were a dick when you joined and you apparently still are.
I know you are one of the iGents from the "fora" and you aren't fooling anyone.
Tony- I wish I was. I live in a bit of southern california world renowned for challenging roads. I couldn't afford a 60s muscle car in high school. I bought a MGA coupe nobody wanted because convertables were de riguer in that genre of cars. A friend's uncle was a retired Jaguar Le Mans raceworks mechanic. Uncle Nigel taught me the dark secretes of whitworth spanners, Lucas electrics and then double clutching a non synchro gearbox and breaking the rear end around hairpin corners.
This led to further acquisitions; a mini cooper S 1100, xk 140 drophead coupe and a Jowet Jupiter. that last was bought by Phil Hill, our first world champion who restores cars in Santa Monica. Through Phil, and a friend's dad I met Steve McQueen and ferried his cars on two occassions.
Alas, my brit cars are long gone and I slog a damned Toyota in soul crushing traffic dodging homicidal morons. But, once in a while I get a phone call " Chris, Phil; I have a client, needs a car delivered safely and nobody has a transport trailer."
