Related articles just under the main one give reviews on each tailor individually. Nice work? Seems a little pricey in some cases.
Not a one is a bespoke tailor. At least, not in the true sense. NYC has just a small handful of tailors left of varying levels of competence and integrity.
Well, I would prefer to see men dressed like that compared to the disheveled messes I associate with on a regular basis. That isn't custom but I don't know if it really means anything to Americans (Not only do the vast majority never get near true custom but as a culture there isn't a true idea of what that means. In the US, custom simply means whatever you want, there isn't a big appreciation for craftsmanship. Basically, custom to many Americans means get an off the rack suit in whatever style/cloth/minor details you want. And, as Mark says, in the absence of an abundance of custom tailors, I cant see what the difference is, especially when some actual custom tailors aren't all that good.
l'd be pretty pissed if l had one of those bespoke suits made; a waste of time and money.
Anybody else here have the feeling these fellows would have been better turned out had they gone to Jos. A. Bank?
