I only wear an old pair of Levis for household chores - gardening, painting etc. I would not wear them to go out in. There appears to be a new fad/craze for selvedge/selvage jeans at exhorbitant prices.
They're work pants. When I'm digging in the garden, cleaning out the basement or some other work like that, they're great. Unfortunately, these days most "jeans" are not made of fabric that can hold up to such abuse. Most jeans, including Levi's, are "fashion jeans" regardless of style- suitable for looking like a plumber, but not actually doing plumbing.
There are any number of more comfortable options for casual pants.
I like them for riding my motorcycle.
Can I be the first to say it - "yardwork"
