Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

55% cotton, 45% poly.  I love it.

If the prices at Aquascutum are still where they were at, the Kingston is a better deal...  I spent 475 BP, + 15 shipping...  They were having a sale.  This being said, I like the Mac.  Very nice and less fussy detailing.

Gieves and Hawkes suit - they were closing the store and altered it for free. Reasonable value for what it cost - good design and decent cloth. Lobb navvy shoes, black.

Re: What have you Brought today?

In the mail today the new James Lee Burke - hardback from Book Depository - cheaper than softback here from bricks & mortar bookshop and 3 months earlier. Slurping a $8 organic cleanskin shiraz - I might just duck writing the newsletter and policy updates and read until 3 am. No Sleep 'Til Mornin'. Life's good.

Re: What have you Brought today?

Just to be clear, I still will be buying them.  It's just slightly disheartening to see them combine a higher price with a smaller quantity, not to mention a square jar, which might be harder to use than a round one.  It sure looks snappy and all.

Re: What have you Brought today?

What bugs me in the square jar is that it's pure marketing.  Cylinders are more efficient shapes to hold a given volume of liquid-like product and they're more solid (there's a good reason why most cans have those proportions: it's the smallest surface of tin possible for the given volume).  Plus, the square jars are less user friendly.

So they compromised on their cost and our convenience in designing their new packaging.  It's not confidence inspiring.

Re: What have you Brought today?

l'm going to buy a local brand of shoe paste and see how it compares. A bloke makes it in his shed in Melbourne. As good as Saphir apparently.

Re: What have you Brought today?

Another problem is storing suede sprays properly. My cans always dry out within 6 months. l spend a decent sum on spray but it's useless after 6 months.
