I am not sure what the Italian term for lummox is but it is certainly an apt description. It appeared to be an amateurish event. Typical iGent parsimony?

Well, the roll out of Luca ("don't forget the cannoli") Rubinacci's latest luxe venture poses no threat to the established global brands. It seems rather to be simply giving the kid something to do. This brand will self destruct within one more generation.

All big brands start small. My guess is that Mariano is the brains behind the new venture but is using his son to develop the brand image. It would be useful to know whether the RTW brand is part of the main company. It could be a new company, with a financial partner, to capitalise on the iGent following.
