Why not?
One name is as good as another & people do like the sound of 'Trad' despite the name being something new.
Nice resonances for the Americans too, 'Tradition' & all that. Fair enough. "Ye Olde Trad Looke". England often presents its heritage in much the same way. I know. I've been to the Ann Hathaway tearooms.
So the Trad forum needs to be all about classic American tailoring obviously, not a collection of 'traditional' styles from around the world. It is all about American Trad isn't it? That's the only thing. And they need to know WHAT American clothes are all about too I guess... Cable Car do/did market themselves as "San Francisco's British Goods Store since 1939" (I got that from the OPH!)
Other than that they could be good to go.
They can encourage a mix of points of view if they fancy. Or not even. I'm easy.
Why not let Ivy be called Trad and see where it leads?
Done in the right way it could help the style along.
Trad for everyone in an everyman stylee!
Mash it up Brooks style.
(I'm hopeless with slang...)
Thoughts?

LOL!
Makes you think of little old ladies, eh?
I am quite serious on this. Why not reclaim the name 'Trad' if that's what the Ivy style is to be known as?
Make it 'Trad for everyone' just like it always was?
I think CCC still offers the pullover oxford shirts, or maybe not.
