It hurts to say this but if you threw almost any picture of Cruiser into the mix he would stand out as a sexual dynamo compared to the rest, a gallery of carefully casually dressed capons.
Dumpy and sexless for sure. Compare with this little NYT look at Take Ivy -
http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/07/23/fashion/20100725-ivy-slideshow.html
Casual maybe, but definitely not purged of color, shape and gender (and look how tight the pants are in this small sample - no pear-shaped Bill's-equivalents here). Somewhere on this board someone wrote that the trads were missing the point that 60s Ivy was a subtly sexy look (duh). How can a community that seeks so passionately to emulate this very simple look get it so wrong so constantly? It's one of the world's great mysteries!
Sunday evening inanity:

Gosh, Allen-Edmonds are complicated! Maybe the most complicated shoe brand! I think what the OP here needs is a nice clear flowchart. Contact McKinsey & Co. forthwith!

An unusual crease on some Ferragamo shoes leads to soul-searching and wistful reflection. Andyites scold the OP for not shelling out $50 for Ferragamo shoe trees, which have the magical property of preventing all creasing and gradually turning (gag, retch) calf leather into beautiful and durable shell cordovan.

A doctor on his way to a medical conference of doctors at which doctors tell other doctors all about the doctor business in a doctor-intensive environment filled with doctors accidentally poops his pants and has to buy some Haggar slacks at Kohls. It's love at first khaki as the comfort waistband caresses the doctor's doctorly hips. The last post discusses Haggar's industry-leading warranty (NB that the pants cost $21.00).

My answer, in order: unconditional love, sold by clothing industry bigtimer Alexander Kabbaz, and greater than 50% wool content.

A pretty weird post in the Tradly Monograms thread that Popeye found. I think this guy may be Ned Flanders.
FNB will love this lads colour combination. Yes he actually wears it to a nightclub.

Where's Clarence Boddiker when you need him?
Here's a young Trad wannabe, from Georgia, where it might be warm, and he's young...and Tripe, who wears a fucking beard for christ's sake, kills him for having his second shirt button undone:

I'm developing a deep loathing for Tripe. I'm now planning a little drive over to Greenwich on the day after Thanksgiving, where I will load up on burritos, beer, and some hard boiled eggs. I'll be wearing baggy shorts like Tripe's, and I will mingle with the crowd in his store and quietly crop dust the place, all the while assuring the fleeing patrons that, "this ain't no disco."
Here's the pompous little shit dressed for, but obviously not performing any, "chores" (Lucinda, I needs must visit the estate office this afternoon and see about having that statue of Mac erected atop the Temple--could you be a darling and clean the stables for me?):

More hipster obsession ("They co-opt everything! Soon there will be hipster marriages! Hipster suburbs! Hipster home theatres!"):

Rare non-Tripe shit:
Imagine two smart guys, sitting in a quiet bar, just shooting the shit over beer--Shakespeare and Homer, Lincoln and Jefferson, Einstein and Hawking, Mantle and Mays...well, you're alive to witness this:

Do you have a picture of the Pembroke before the last change? Also, could you go into a bit more detail about the Tricker's and C&J situation? I'm now worried because I'm not smart enough about shoe construction and do mainly buy these brands because they seem honest. Edward Green are of course a better option but their prices just keep getting higher and higher.
