I do prefer his work with the Beatles though, particularly Revolver and beyond, and actually think one of their finest albums was Let it Be, even though the mainstream probably thinks otherwise..
Coincidentally, had Nirvana's Incesticide on in the car today.. Very rarely does a cover sound better to me than the original, but their covers of Son of a Gun and Molly's Lips on that album are far better than the original Vaseline's versions..

I had the pleasure of having lived in the Pacific northwest in the late 80s/early 90s and saw the band many times in those days.. At their worst, they were still one of the finest bands I have heard on so many levels..
