Charvet makes a finer, more elegant necktie, IMHO, that results in the best knot/dimple of any tie I've come across. T&A has a much more sturdily-engineered keeper, which Charvet really ought to adopt given their steep price, now $165 or so apiece. T&A ties seem to go well with T&A shirts, perhaps due to the characteristic loud patterns of each, lending themselves to combining both. Charvet ties can be pretty loud, too, bordering on the garish, though most patterns are subdued.
