It would be nice to see more RTW three piece suits. For a long time this arrangement was only to be had from custom tailors and/or thrift shops. It does mean, however, that we will see more 'interpretations' of the look as the hipsters latch on with a vengeance (army boots, rolled up pants, extra-short vests so as to show shirt and phat belts, etc etc). Mixed blessing, really. But if it means I can go out and buy a modestly priced three piece suit in a store, then that's good.
How hard can it be to make a waistcoat? I reckon even I could do it with minimal training.
Yet the cost of them does not seem to reflect this. There is no real warmth in waistcoats but they have their merits.
3 piece RTW suits are easy to find in London. I have seen lots of them recently, e.g. in Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Aquascutum, Gieves & Hawkes and Selfridges. You should be able find one online that will fit your budget.

I like vests and like that others will wear them. It's as unwise to be the only person to do something as it is to do what everyone else does. You want the right people to do what you do, or at least be satisfied that the wrong people are getting it wrong. Get it?
Nice article.
I just hate the way I see them worn on the forumz. Everyone on there always seems to overdo it. The addition of a vest with a suit is already enough, in this day and age. However, iGents have to add all sort of stuff to an otherwise already put together ensemble: e.g., fobs, hankies, flowers in the buttonholes, etc., etc., usually many of these at once...
