Going Wobbly

I can purchase this jacket for about $400 at the next sale:

or I can spent about $650 having one made up without darts. O'Connell has a similar one on there website, but says they will not be restocking this jacket for '07.  Too bad.

What to do?

I keep running into this situation.  I wear XLong jackets and BB always has a great selection in the early season, but one must accept darts in order to save money.  $250 here, $250 there.  It starts to add up.

Re: Going Wobbly

My rule is always 'which would make me happiest?'
The result may well be a smaller wardrobe but at least what I have is what I want.
One or two 'perfect' items outweigh a larger volumn of 'almost right' items in my book.
But that's just me...

Re: Going Wobbly

Right before Harris was disappeared, he purchased a darted Brooks sportscoat because he liked the price and fabric.  It seems to be a dangerous road.

O'Connell said that they could not accquire the fabric to have more made.  There is a similar fabric in the Southwick box, but it may be sold out for all I know.  Southwick boxes should be updated soon I think.
