Eventhough `organic foods' are really popular these days, it is now more difficult than ever to get good organic seeds and legumes in Oz. For one of the first times in history it is impossible to get local organic sesame seeds...been trying to score them for about 3 years. Nothing better than sprouting organic seeds and reaping the rewards via sprouted salad greens and green juices.
Had these babies arrive today:
* local organic unhulled `sunflower seeds' (2kg) - great for sprouting on soil for BRILLIANT salad greens.
* local organic `chick peas' (1kg) - sprout for 4 days and then steam for 2 minutes.
* local organic `alfalfa seed' (2kg) - no soil required, just sprout in a jar. BRILLIANT salad greens, the very best! Nothing better to eat for me, my favourite food.
* local organic `quinoa seed' (1kg) - BRILLIANT salad greens.
* Local organic unhulled `buckwheat' (2kg) - best to sprout on soil for 10 days. Rare and BRILLIANT salad greens, a real treat.
* local organic `mung bean' sprouts (2kg) - BRILLIANT salad greens if sprouted with high skill.
* 25kg sack of wholewheat grain hasn't arrived yet.
Nothing better than legume and seeds sprouts. Very easy to develop a bean sprout addiction among these beauties. Unfortunately l can't get `adzuki beans' anymore, and fenugreek seeds are hard to come buy in small orders. Rice is a real bastard to sprout, same goes with soy beans.

A real downer not being able to get quality sesame seeds. lt is actually the primary nutrition seed...very likely the most important seed of all time along with alfalfa. Sesame seeds is completely indespensible, it leaves a really big hole in the diet that forces one to take a very different plan to make up for it. You could take any other food item in the world out and it wouldn't make too much difference, but when `sesame seeds' are taken out of the equation it presents a very big problem.
l better not ramble on anymore about this stuff, l could talk all night.

I understand that you could have seeds coming from plants farmed organically, but if you sprout them yourself (presumably organically), what difference does it make where they come from?

Arrived by post yesterday: a lined and raised burgundy bridle belt with a dark havanna lining and nickel buckle from Equus Leather. Really a quality product and nice people to work with.
Also a pair of Swims "mobster" overshoes -- just in time, too, as we are expecting a storm tomorrow night.
Is this thread about what people just bought, or are wearing?

3 pair of slacks -- pleated; cuffed and with buttons for braces (one charcoal, one british tan, one slightly mauvish) here: http://www.bushs.ca/index.html
Got rid of the 3 remaining pair in my closet that were "belt only"
Mac OS X Snow Leopard which has enabled me to get my new Ipod Classic downloading: 11.2GB/7.2 days of the best modern jazz available. And that's a very small fraction of what still needs to be transferred from CD to the computer.
