Anyway, getting back to the Ponderosa, this man makes some valid points:-

On the subject of cultural references, non-Americans need to know the significance of 'white on white; shirts in Baltimore in the early 1960s. I never heard of such a thing before, but it seems to have been a big deal to them.
Jovan upset that Chippendale dancers don't wear proper formal attire in some routines:

Drip is faced with dilemma. His fat ass is opening all the vents on his sack jackets. Yes, the obvious solution is to buy a jacket more closely tailored to his body. But that's not what a sack is supposed to look like! And he refuses now to wear any other style than the sack, not only because they are about $12.00 each in thrift shops, but also because it makes him look like such a stud--except for the fat ass part. His plaintive cry for help:

On a more serious note, I'm looking for people willing to dig a little deeper into their pockets this Holiday Season and help me commission a piece of art dedicated to the travails of the iGent. I'm thinking of hiring a renowned sculptor like Jeff Koons, or Seward Johnson (whoever needs the money the most), to create a piece of art for downtown Minneapolis, preferably near a bus stop on Hennepin Ave. It will be a sculpture of a fit young man waiting for a bus in winter. He will be wearing Alden cordovan LHS full-straps, (with rubbers on to protect the Horween from the snow), no socks, Mabitex trousers with the cuffs rolled up, a Mercer OCBD under a Press Shaggy Dog, under a Barbour with surgeon's cuffs (added by local Korean tailor who had to work from photographs) with the bottom button undone, 7 or 8 bead bracelets on the right wrist, a Timex on the left. In his hands is a Filson bag which he has set on fire in a last-ditch attempt to stay alive while waiting for the delayed bus.
Andy and Kabbaz have generously agreed to help process all donations, which can be sent to AskAndy. Thanks.
^ Obviously I would like to see Antony Gormley create a few hundred similar figures to spread around Central London but unfortunately we do not really have the snow for it.

It is the "feel" that counts, not the "look". Realization dawns after a fortune was spent on various tailors around the world, posing for strangers on the internets and getting brickbats instead of resounding applause. Well, better late than never I guess.

Tom, the resident dandy and perhaps head of the economics department at The Appalachian State University, somewhere in...Appalachia, I guess, provides a helpful analysis of the Paul Frederick of Hollyw...er, Jermyn St. argyle sock--half as much as better socks, and probably half as good:

A little too much information about the bathroom habits of East Village Trad, a Republican who uses the word "whilst":

Local subversive Kingstonian seems ---- and this is just pure speculation---to have had a few the other night before going after UprCrust, basically calling him a dried-up has-been whose fuddy-duddy faux-bonhomie poses just aren't being understood by today's kids who spend all day on Twitter and Facebook. There were a few tears, then Crusty reappeared with jaunty new poses, like these: (Good work, Kingston!)

I'm sad to say that the WAYWT threat at the Fedora Lounge has virtually fallen off the face of the earth and we are all poorer for it.

Clawdaddy searches for a "valuation" (not a value) for his grab-bag of ties and shirting fabrics, I guess to sell them on ebay? Or for his taxes? To wrap up as holiday gifts for the deserving poor? His lack of basic literacy obscures his intentions. Perhaps Clawdaddy is used to speculating in the World of Warcraft virtual enchanted sword market and has become accustomed to informality in matters of trade.

Jwa Jwa Jwa finds our earth-sales difficult to understand. Poor Jwa Jwa Jwa - he has to divide his time between deep-discount bargain shopping and commanding the Earth Infiltration Detachment of the Brood of Gorgo.
