She was a commoner; although the Fergusons are rated as a Scottish family, aren't they? I mean there's common and then there's Common. I could forgive the Texan toe-sucking etc etc (as old Andy was up to all sorts too) but what I found extraordinary was her agreement to be humiliated by Oprah Bloody Winfrey on her fatuous TV programme (presumably, in return for a biggish cheque) and yes, I did watch it. It just wasn't very Tallulah Bankhead, was it? I mean if she'd got pissed and committed some indiscretion and been taken up on it by the Pigs of the Press she'd have had some slap-down ready and gone on in her "Up-yours!" way, which is what Fergie should have done. Mind you, I did like her joke about the anchovy.

There's a lot of red hair in the Spencer family, and by all accounts, Diana's liaison with Major Hewitt occurred after the birth of Harry.

I doubt they'll ever get past the obvious divots - sorry, make that divets - on Charles's shoulders.

You'd think the royal family would take certain precautions, such as DNA tests, wouldn't you?
