The Beatles mono box set. The older songs sound much better in mono, you can hear the rhythm guitar and the cymbals aren't as crash-y.
Also Coltrane and Monk at Carnegie Hall.
Not a record, just a youtube clip:
Bryan Adams - Run To You

Reminds me of my old band very very much.

Some help here from Miles aficionados
I was just watching late night community TV here (ch 31 for locals) and caught the last 30 second or so of very fuzzy black and white live Miles with some long haired white rock and roll guy out front singing. Singer had a Joe Cocker, good, soul voice. No idea of song or guy - anyone got any hints?
I initially thought it was Plant - by appearance - but I'm sure it wasn't
After Formby's question on another thread:-

This one has a (sober) Molly hosting with Elton John - much sensible discussion and now playing "I Wanna Be Straight" by Drury & Blockheads - great song fantastic band. Elton intros it with "this doesn't apply to us two does it"?
I see two Radio Birdman are scheduled - I think I'll wait for them
Bill Evans' "The Last Session." Amateur recording but the notes are all there. He died shortly thereafter.
The Miles Davis soundtrack is superb. Reminds me to put on Ellington's Anatomy of the Murder.
Chick Corea, Bona Fide and Boney James
Groove ,Armada.
This a great little piece of wild trumpet playing. Good stuff from 2:08 on. All these trumper players going off their tits.
