The workhouse

I must have walked past this a good many times without realising what it was.

I don't mind saving it but would not want to end up in a similar place.

I work quite near to Saffron Hill where Oliver Twist and Fagin used to hang out (please substitute appropriate Dickensian term). No sign of anything like that nowadays although the Peabody buildings on Farringdon Road always remind me of earlier, harsher times.

Re: The workhouse

Perhaps I could start a business selling second hand pocket squares to igents?

I would need to put the charity shops out of business first though.
