Interesting comments. The fact is that Niven had little charisma on the screen in comparison to Grant. See "The Bishop's Wife" for a comparison.At any rate, one mourns the passing of the English screen gentleman (see also John Williams) in comparison with the unshaven, tattooed and slovenly current types.
