Can anyone think of a better epitaph?

A friend of mine died last night after a long battle with cancer and a host of other things. He was well known in a specialist music field (2 tone / Ska about which I know almost nothing) and tributes have been coming in all day. The most common description of him has been “A real Gentleman”.

Can anyone think of a better epitaph?

I can’t.

(Uncle Russell – check Facebook, I see you are a “friend” of L (his widow) and I guess of “Cardboard”))

Epitaphs should be simple and heartfelt.

''I told you I was ill.''

Spike Milligan's suggested option.
