A guitar theme tonight:
Julian Bream & John Williams: "Together" – great classical guitar, progressing naturally to John Williams’s LP “Cavatina” which I just noticed had one Rick Wakeman on keyboards (I saw him at a charity do a few years ago and he still “had it”).
Then on to John Williams and (the great) Cleo Laine’s LP “Just Friends”.

I've seen the Blind Boys 3 times a few years back when more were alive so I could miss them except that seeing them with Aaron and Mavis seems like heaven. But then I'd have to miss Irma Thomas.

I just saw Suze Rotolo died Feb 24
Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street reissue. Picked up the "documentary" on DVD as well. Good footage for die-hard Stones fans..
All been solved.
Ms has booked us for Raul Malo solo - small venue alls good.
Before that we are going to Blind Boys of Alabama + Aaron Neville + Mavis Staples - then Toots & Maytals with Luciano and Jah Messenjah Band & Warrior King & Bonnie Casey and I'll probably book Felice Brothers with a mate. So thats Easter all stitched up - a musical holiday at home.
Gunna miss Bob - its bearable as I saw him 3 nights in a row last time - an ambition I had for a long time. And I saw Los Lobos last time they were here.
After a BBQ today where we drank a bit of Mateus Rose to bring back old memories of first dates and hippy era etc - I think I've now been roped in the go see ZZ Top in the same week everything else is on.
Some of the score by Bernard Herrman, from that great movie "North by North West" which is my favourite film of all time.
Ho Hum
Looking forward to a cup of splosh!!
Black Sabbath: "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath."
Excellent fucking album, although I prefer "Master of Reality" above all.
