l find that Vass leather varies quite abit according to the type of shoo.
On wholecuts the leather is always nicer all over, a nice smooth even grain through-out, not faultless but almost.
On brogues the best quality leather is used on the vamp and less nice stuff is used elsewhere. Not that it would make any difference to longevity on a brogue if good stuff is used only on the vamp (vamp is part where upper gets most wear, so it needs to be good quality).
Anyone else notice that?
