The display ban is already alive and well here in Ontario, Canada.
No surprise there, really -- much pinch-faced finger-wagging left over from "the Family Compact" era, I suppose ...

I have been in touch with Simon Chase of Hunters & Frankau, the exclusive Havana cigar importers for the UK (they distribute to all the retailers) and he says that this legislation has been under consultation for some time but it seems likely that there will be exceptions for specialist cigar shops; although he is unsure about whether all the packaging will have to be plain ie all the dressed boxes and fancy bands will have to be obscured: what a nonsense it all is!
