Re: God Bless Marc Grayson

Of course, for all the talk of the blood libel, it should be pointed out that the early Christians were accused of similar atrocities: Christian worship was denounced by its pagan detractors as a combination of ritual infanticide, cannibalism and sex orgies!

How much more sophisticated we are today remains open to question. I think of the great "ritual child abuse" scare/witch hunt of the 1980s, of which the McMartin Pre-School case in Manhattan Beach, California, was probably the most notorious. Interestingly, I knew a couple of recent alumnae of the McMartin Pre-School years ago--bright, charming, precocious little girls they were. They certainly showed no signs of having been traumatized by any untoward goings-on such as were alleged of the McMartin Pre-School.

And the Crusades were a response to almost incessant Muslim aggression against what was left of Christendom.

"Man is a Religious Animal. He is the only Religious Animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion--several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven....The higher animals have no religion. And we are told that they are going to be left out in the Hereafter. I wonder why? It seems questionable taste." -- Mark Twain,  "The Lowest Animal"

"It is my belief that nearly any invented quotation, played with confidence, stands a good chance to deceive."
- Mark Twain

MC - You might as well say: "Talk to dhe hand becuz dhe face ain't listnun!" You have a tendentious argument for everything, backing an agenda of hatred.

Islam is just like 'Trad' isn't it? Reinventing things to suit their own newbie agenda...  Claiming F. Scott Fitzgerald as 'Trad' is just the same as claiming Jesus as a prophet of Islam.

Re: God Bless Marc Grayson

Regardless of much of the tripe that appears, to some extent, in every Holy Book ever written, we should be about disregarding the objectionable parts and encouraging their abandonment and, from there, building bridges to advance civilization not ranting about the prejudices of primitive people which are being perpetuated by the manipulative and the psychotic, through their influence over the ignorant and the easily led: education is the answer; education by gentle persuasion. Most religions have been about control or have been used to control populations and to make them do the state's bidding. It is time for JC to come again and tell it like it is and then Russell and Marc and GGS and all the other Jewish brothers under this umbrella can get in on the salvation act before it is too late. Also, Marc's clients will breathe a sigh of relief: that he will be able to do some work for a change.
