Surely he should mangle?
Folding neatly and mangling presses and removes water in one go. Spinning screws up the shirt & creates wrinkles.
Once mangled, a shirt may be placed on a plastic suit/jacket hanger (never metal or wood) and allowed to dry naturally in a cool dry place.
Minimal ironing may then be carried out before wearing.
This man is just creating work for himself by screwing up his shirts in this way. Also he will shorten the life of his shirts by putting them through so much stress when he washes them.
