Advice on shoes for Yurrup is coming in over there, with reference to yet another thread on this mysterious subject. One person likens it to Manhattan and advises accordingly while admitting he's never been to Manhattan. The Great Bird has vouched for Mephistos for dangerous adventures while admitting they are rarely worn, due to "vanity issues." Makes sense as I'm sure those shoes would be quite embarrassed to be seen on those talons.

The consensus there is that, incredibly and surprisingly enough, AE and Alden make The Perfect Shoe for walking in faraway cities. How is it possible that this has not been noticed before, with all the daily readings of catalogs, trips to stores and endless discussions about these two ultimate shoe makers? Could many there simply be claiming they own the entire Alden line while actually only possessing a couple pair of Rockports? Could the reality there actually be squatting so far away from the ideal? I am shocked, shocked I tell you!
