^Apologies, what I meant to say was that style of Scottish multi-patterned plaid cloth by Reid & Taylor is something magnificent and is almost like a refined tweed for an urbane lounge setting. Its really special. In my desire to wax lyrical, the fact that most suit cloth is worsted escaped me.

My grandfather's wardrobe was full of that style of cloth, probably from Reid & Taylor and its not really a plain business cloth at all. Not only is it bullet proof, you can stand the trousers up by themselves.

Perhaps I should get a suit made up from 30oz overcoat wool? Three piece I think, to keep the chill out. None of your modern nonsense mind you, I will get the old style super tight weave used by the UXB tunneling teams as a form of splinter protection.
