How does the killing of Osama bin Laden (if it were he and not to mention other unidentified persons) accord with the Rule of Law, as opposed to a terrorist attack? This is aimed mainly at Mr Grayson and GGS but, hell, everyone can gather round the lynching tree and have a Wild Turkey.
The following post was in reply to a deleted post which said that Osama was a "vicious bastard who deserved what he got".
That proceeds on various premises, which might be erroneous. Moreover, I thought that it was customary to identify a military target before eliminating it. Not, apparently , the case here. It is, actually, quite scary that a nation with no mandate from the UN or any other agreed authority, storms around the world busting into people's bedrooms, sling-gun happy, and then declares "We did get the right man". And what is all this about the 'importance' of dealing with his corpse according to Islamic tradition?
Please!
The nation that did this and those who support it (including the (late) nation that gave me birth), are an utter disgrace to the 'civilization' that they so recklessly export to countries that have no wish for it. Once a private individual or a state uses revenge as an excuse for murder, the terrorists have secured to themselves a bloody shrine beyond their wildest dreams and an excuse to return like for like.
What is wrong with you people? Civilization? Until under 150 years ago you still enslaved people and, within the last fifty, you accorded lesser rights to black people than to white. What human right have you got to rule the world, apart from fire-power?

If every "bastard who deserved what he got" - got shot - then we'd be in an awful mess - my list is very long without even trying.
So as not to disappoint my fans, I was the one who posted that line about Bin Laden being "a vicious bastard who deserved what he got," and I really believe it. This is a win. And it's worth noting that this is just the short game and it's not fatal to anyone who isn't a bearded fanatic. The long game is the dismantling of our nations, reversal of our civil rights, and erasure of the middle class by reactionary politicians and business interests. Our nations will be brought down by traitors within, rather than terrorists without or lumbering over-populated giants from afar (for the China-watchers).
EDIT: too slow on writing this post, but I stand by it

Shooting Obama rather than rendering him out of Pakstan may have been a product of the high security fortress he had constructed IMO.
Here are some video snaps on the MSN this morning:

Now there is a report Obama watched the whole thing in real time. Typical Obama tacky re-election stunt.

Those in the know have been aware of the complicit involvement of the Pakistani Secret Service in protecting and abetting the Taliban. It seems that it extended to faciltating the stay of OBL. How would it be possible that this fortress had drawn no attention with the rubbish burning and arrival of fancy cars all the time?
It makes a farce of the whole Afghanistan campaign. This failed state that cannot even remain secure enough from terrorists to stage a cricket match has harboured the wold's most maniacal terrorist. Truly a Hall of Mirrors
What about this:
"Elegant, clean-shaven, Middle Eastern gent, surrounded by bodyguards; believed to be a top Texaco executive, in A&S suits, with Swaine Adeney James Bond attache case, Brigg brolly, buffalo horn-rimmed spectacles and six wives, takes up residence in a penthouse in the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square."?
Which IGent is this?
