I suspect I know nothing about the 346 line!
Don't own any & I thought they were something new-ish.

Odd.
Looking at old Brooks catalogues they keep mentioning '346' in relation to their stuff & I've thumbed the catalogues in question to the point where they're all falling apart.
I worry myself sometimes.
Edit: I think I've confused '346' with 'Golden Fleece' somehow. Even worse news for the state of my brain.

My best recollection is that they went to inside the jacket labels in the mid 1990s. The blue and gold collar labels lasted into the early 1990s until M&S figured out how to really lose money.
