For the avoidance of doubt, Mr Grizzly Adams, my wife, who has been closely following the debate, on this site, wishes it to be known:
first, that she is a loyal British citizen;
secondly, that she is a graduate and a barrister, who had a practice in international tax;
thirdly, that she has no interest in supporting international (or any) terrorism, and
fourthly, she points out (with considerable force), that several Indian members of the former British Empire, have been awarded the VC and the GC, won in the defence of the civilization and way of life, that we claim as our own.
She also supports my point of view, as expressed above: in relation to the dealing of the USA with ObL, and that there should be less division of mankind by reference to the essentially small differences in how we little specks of things acknowledge the Creator of All Things. And, no, we do not read The Guardian newspaper.
She has gone to bed now and I can disclose that She Who Must Be Obeyed once opined that The Daily Telegraph was "the only newspaper worth reading". In this view (as well as adhering to snuff handkerchiefs and not shooting low-flying pheasant), I whole-heartedly concur.

As I suspected.
As I see it, "The Law" is for sale to those who can afford the most billable hours. I hold it in the same slight regard as I do the U.N. and other international bodies which operate as little more than politically correct popularity contests.
As far as your bee gag goes, I will remind you that each of those bees represents a dead friend, colleague or neighbor and that the only balm that will soothe me is the extermination of all radical islamists and their apologists.
This then just turns the whole conversation into a game about where one wants to push the Time Line.
So, today it's Charlie Wilson's fault, another big shove and we're at Partition in '47 - eventually we're at the gates of Vienna and then on and on it goes until we get all the way back to Muhammad himself and then perhaps it's the Meccans who dissed him and sent him packing to Medina ......
I understand your point about history and vacuums but OBL's responsible for his own decisions just like the rest of us are.

Well said, Max! What the world is facing now is regrettable too and utterly avoidable. I dread the thought of the 'intimate body searches' which will soon greet my arrival at an airport, going about my perfectly legitimate travel.
