Jihn Grisham's 'A Time To Kill' and comparing it with Robert Travers' 'Anatomy of A Murder'. I think that the Grisham draws on the Travers although I find the Grisham a more gripping read. Mind you, I seldom make it to the end of any 750 page long novels: I read the first hundred pages, and then skim through to the punchline.

I would start reading "The Raw and The Cooked," but Shooey might eat half of it and I'd have eat the other half.
A good book as it happens, civilization commenced when we started to cook food. The works of Levi Strauss are a anathema to raw foodies.
In a strange pique of continuous improvement madness, I purchased both "Office Kaizan" and "Office Kaizan II" from Abebooks with a 10% discount, they arrived today. After three or four pages, it was clear, these books are fucking useless. They're now on my work bookshelf and they they will stay as eyeball candy and fluff for visiting clients and auditors.

shooey - don't take it personally - I'm sure raw food won't do you much harm at all - I have a friend who has his raw food books - the recipes are tasty - just don't get sucked into the guru bullshit.
I'm eating sliced fennel and extra virgin olive oil and salt - all raw.
* I'm also eating Castello cheese from Denmark and salami and drinking shiraz - but the wine is all raw.
