Pants never stay up well on my body so l prefer braces for non bespoke pants. l have no bum to keep trousers up so l must wear them very low unfortunately. l can wear very very few trousers/pants, finding a pair is almost impossible. l am a candidate for bespoke pants and even then l am described as "a tailors nightmare" because it is very hard to get a good fit from pants....took heaps of work and fittings to get them right. Most people take one or two fittings, l took six on my first pair.
I like neither braces nor belts. The best result I've found for keeping my pants up is to get them with the waistband at my actual waist and side adjusters. No fuss and they stay where they're put.
